IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!!!!!!!!!

I have no words to describe what i witnessed today......awestruck really......t has been an incredible sporting week and what a way to end it. South Africa shattered records to beat Australia. Who wudve thot S Af wud outplay the Kangaroos after they had amassed a mammoth 434 in their alloted 5o overs.....remarkable....wat a game of cricket.....those who missed it...tooooooooooooo bad..coz you wont be able to see such match again in ur lives..i guarantee you that.....wat entertainment.....and a phenominal acheivement for S Africans and HATS OFF to Herschelle Gibbs who piled up 175 runs in just 110 balls and virtually slaughtered the Aussie bowlers...a treat to watch...twas an innings of a lifetime...S Af ,chasing 434, cudnt have had a better start as Gibbs n Smith put on 187 runs in 21 overs for the 2nd wicket in outstanding fashion.Smith scored 90 off 55...S Af were home with 2 balls to spare...Boucher deservedly hitting the winning runs.....I still cant believe it...breathtaking batting display....ohhh.....
AUS 434-4 in 50 ovrs
SAF 438-9 in 50 overs
for those who kno notin abt cricket......the highest totals be4 today were 398 397 391 and 376...and the highest chase was 335....(tht too agnst australia)

And it has been an incredible sporting week.
About 8 INCREDIBLE GOALS. (solid contenders for goal of the season) scored on Saturday in EPL.........Ferrari back with a bang in Formula 1 in Bahrain.............Kumble joining the 500 wickt club...........and as they say the best is reserved for the last....S Af beatin Aus by one wicket on a day when 870 runs were scored (25 sixes i repeat TWENTY FIVE sixes...woa....) Two of the worlds best teams put on a scintillating batting display....Ricky Ponting's 160 (105 balls) was absolutely terriffic but was in vain....(i din see Aus batting.....and i sportd S Af).well if i go on it wont end and the non crickt fans wudve started cursin me by now.......this game will neva be 4gotten............me signing out......

HYPERACTIVETHIOSENSITIVITY

Tis been a while since i updated mah blog.Nothing much to write about in the past fortnight.
Cudnt go for Ragam the cultural fest conducted by NIT Calicut--instead went for Au Fait and cheered for mah college.-----went to play cricket at Loyola almost evry evening-----whiled away mah time in front of mah PC n TV ........saw the film Bluffmaster......cut regular classes at college this Friday and played cricket at home with Aravind and Aswin (my classmates)-.......then had to draw a helluva lotta figures(not only for me but for Ebi n Deepak as well) thanks to our grafix sir's outburst.....talkin abt grafix reminds me of tuition.

I go for grafix tuition (do i?) at Ulloor every Sunday (no i dont). The tuition is scheduled once in a week (we go once in a month) and yesterday we decided its time to turn over a new leaf and we went for tuition only to find that Sir was not there.Sir had told the students there was no tuition that day, the previous class itself but since i was fast asleep during that time (not at the tuiton class...at mah home) I din get to know abt it and those who went that day didnt care to inform.(Nannaavam ennu vichaarikkumbol Sir sammathikoolla).......so went for Crossroads --the tech n cult fest of MBT.The college is good...both the campus and the teens (hehe)........dats pretty much it

'Out' standing boys.......

Notin else to write..........notin else to do....

The topic says it all.
For the first time after entering CET i was ousted from the class (along with hmmmm around 12 others).I knew twas comin and it came in the graphics period las tueday. We were asked to submit the completed graphics note (..neva heard of it be4...eh?).Well the 'pusthakapuzhoos' had notin to worry about coz they have never seen an incomplete note. But for others twas an uphill task. But no one paid heed to his request ('order' will be more apt).(oru cheviyil koodi kaettu matte cheviyil koodi kalanju). We have grafix classes evry tuesday ( 3 hrs afternoon) and last tuesday was the day of submission.

Sir entered and asked those who havnt done the work to leave the class ( i hadnt done but i didnt leave) and some of them left the class , elated , and in a jiffy some were inside the nearest theatre. After this Sir began to check the notes of those who din go.Seeing that i said to my friend :"yaar methinks its better to go out..hes checkin the notes damn it" but then decided not to...and soon enough Sir was staring into my notebook with all the questions and loads of blank white pages.Somehow my friend managed to stay inside and i joined the others outside.
Then we sat together chatting, watching the 'birds' and i had to wait till 4 pm to fetch my bag which was still inside the class the whole 3hrs along with mah poor classmates...............dats it...

next week i've to draw n submit loads of figures and i will soon find out what a complete note looks like (hopefully...)...............

Ayyo Boat ippo mariyumaeeeee.....

Theres Sumo for you.

The trip to Ooty.

The most wonderful days in our lives always comes in unannounced...says the famous poet (forgot who he was) . And for me Feb 8th to 10th came in unannounced. The excursion to ooty was an unforgettable one, one that has grabbed a special place inside mah heart. It was more fun than expected.

And just as my friend FX said..the tour had many firsts.

* the first time 1st yr Electronics students went for an outside Kerala tour (thanx to Ajesh and our HOD).

* the first time i went for a tour with girls (to find out tht they too were pretty good at 'alambifying').

* My first tour with mah new (now there is no new or old) friends (and i got to know some of them real well).

* First 2-day tour to ooty.

We set off to Ooty one fine evening and it was an overnight journey.Although we were disappointed on hearin that there was no MP3 player inside the bus, that didnt stop us from dancing to the music (from the audio player).Very few ppl were sleepy and even fewer slept. And those who didnt sleep 'much' (dat includes me) were in no mood to let others enjoy their slumber. We had a great time waking them up using 'uppu' and 'kanmashi'.Wen twas early morning i decided to take a nap and since twas a 49 seater bus and there were 57 of us ,'thara' was the only choice left. But unfortunately for me the 'thara' was near mah friend (his name starts with JO and ends with HN) who was ruining a song sung by some good singer. So i decided its better not to sleep (hehe).

We spent the next day visiting the various tourist spots in ooty viz. shooting pt botanical garden and paikara dam.In botanical gardens one of mah friends went crazy (SUMO as hes called by some)-- running up and down (me too) - wanting ppl to stand on his shoulders -- asking all students to jump on him while he lay on the grass---really weird and funny. We had campfire that night at our hotel (Ooty Gate).Though campfire was not as gr8 as xpected twas fun.We played a round of anthakshari (applied v tele) which eventually ended in a tie.(njammal vittu koduthatha)
The next day was even better.Boating was awesome. We spent more than an hour in a 4 seater pedalled boat and all the while the boat was tilted towards one side (danx to Sumo Gau) .Then we went to Doddabetta, the highest pt in Ooty where i met mah friend (schoolmate) from Tirunelveli Med Collg who was there on a one day tour.Evening twas time to bid goodbye to Ooty as we boarded the Nilgiri Xpress .Inisde the train twas 'chalo adi' contest which continued even after we returned to our bus in Connor and jayasankar put most of us to sleep with his 'very very short' kathy. Then we stopped at mettupalayam to dine. There, John Ebi Sherin Neeta Vishnu Kishore all entertained us with songs. Then twas the loooong journey back to Tvm.Many got down at their respective homes and we the TVM ites had a good night with Deepak Baby and Arjun in full form.
We reached home safely at around 9.
Waiting for the collg to re open..............................

'POWER'PLAY

Yes......my blog topic is again cricket-based.

India produced a fantastic batting display to outclass pak in the 3rd ODI.Dhoni was unstoppable.Once again Sachin rose to the occasion but was unlucky (95)to miss out on his 4oth ton, and one cant forget Yuvraj's classic strokeplay as he along with Dhoni guided the Men in blue to a comfortable 5 wicket win.One may saw powerplay ended after the first 20 overs, but when Dhoni is on song powerplay never ends. His shots are a treat to watch.

Although Pak piled up 88 runs in their last 10 overs Ind batsmen were in no mood to give up.Sachin was in superb touch.Elegant cover drive awesome pull shots and his typical straight drive.Yuvraj was top class esp at the start of his innings.Kudos to the trio for scripting another Ind victory.

Now wat do the critics have in stock eh???(shaaru)

To hell with Duckworth Lewis!

All of you mitve heard tht India lost to Pak in the first onedayer at Peshawar.Twas a batsmans paradise and the indian batsmen wasted no time as they smacked the ball all apound the ground right from the first over.Tho we lost veeru early Dhoni and Pathan set the crowd ablaze with thier quickfire half centuries.Sachin stayed there to complete his 39th(woa dats mammoth!!!) century and despite poor battin in the final overs Ind managed 328.Still we lost the game.Although the bowling in the first 20-30 overs was poor (especially that asshole Murali kartik)Ind fought back with some better display with the ball later on in the game.Pakistan survived a collapse to snatch a seven-run victory after bad light forced an early halt.
dat was wen duckworth lewis comes into picture.
18 balls 18 runs to win 3 wickets in hand.No one can predict who the winner is.A match cant be played looking at Duck Lewis stats. Its gibberish.Cricket is an unpredictable game.Even if it was 3 overs 10 to win we cant tell who the winner is.THe only problem is there is no other alternative to it and no ones thinking of any.Ind cudve won the game but....................aaaaah...wats the use crying over spilt milk.
